Temple Walk- 寺庙走路

Today was an incredible cultural experience walking through the city with over 500 people to bring one of the Gods to three different temples with dragons, firecrackers, drums and more. As we walked through the streets, people put out food and burned money as offerings to the God. I experienced walking over the fire pits for the first time and praying at the temple. We collected stamps along the way, and when we arrived at our final destination, we hung up our papers at the temple. This is an unforgettable experience.

今天過了一個很棒的文化經歷。我跟五百多個人一起走通過城市送一個老天爺去三個不同的寺廟，有籠，鞭炮， 鼓，等。我們走路的時候， 人們把食品放在路上，燒了錢給老天爺。在寺廟我第一次走過火，拜拜。在寺廟和路上我們獲得了印章， 在最後的寺廟掛紙。這是一個不會忘記的經歷。 

Dance Studio- 街舞教室

I finally found a great dance studio in Changhua! Dancing is my favorite hobby and since coming to Taiwan I have missed it so much. Attending my first hip hop dance class night made me so happy. There are many classes at this studio and I can attend many different types of classes. Dancing is great exercises, stress relief, and makes me smile. SUCCESS!

在彰化我終於找到了一個很棒的街舞教室。跳舞是我最喜歡的愛好， 來到台灣我很想舞蹈。上我第一次hip hop 課讓我超快樂。這個街舞教室有很多舞蹈課， 我可以上各種各樣的課。跳舞是很健康的活動， 可以緩解壓力， 讓我笑。成功！

Volunteering- 志工服務

This weekend I volunteered with my friend in Changhua. It was such a wonderful experience! The people who volunteered there were so kind, and so welcoming. It was a fun day meeting new people, volunteering and eating delicious food. Although some people only spoke Taiwanese, we did our best to help each other. This was a great day, I plan to volunteer with them in the future!  
這個週末在彰化我跟我的朋友做志工服務，是一個很棒的經歷！參加這個服務的人都非常開朗， 很歡迎我。這一天認識新朋友們， 做志工服務和吃很好吃的東西都很好玩！雖然一些人只會說台語， 但是我們努力的互相幫助。這一天很棒， 我未來打算跟他們做更多志工服務！

Teaching Life - 老师的生活

Today in our 5th grade class we did a McDonald's activity to practice asking "how much is this?' and "I would like a _____ please." It was a very fun activity, and it made learning more real for the students. Next week were are going to do a grocery store activity. These kinds of classes are creative and enjoyable, I love being a teacher!
今天我們的五年級課做一個麥當勞的活動， 練習問《多少錢？ 》和《請給我。 。 。 》這個活動很好玩， 讓學習英文更實際。下個星期我們會做一個雜貨店的活動。這樣的課很創作和好玩， 我愛當老師！

-taught 33 classes, including kindergarten!

-hiked up Baguashan to see the Big Buddha

-gotten an eye infection and went to the eye doctors by myself

Baguashan- 八卦山

Yesterday I went to Baguashan with my friend from Changhua. We hiked up to the big Buddha and the nearby school and temple. The Buddha was much bigger in person than I though it would be, and we were even able to go inside of it! You could see the whole city from up on this mountain, and it was amazing! A worthwhile trip! 
昨天我跟我的彰化朋友去八卦山。我們爬山到大佛像, 也去附近的學校和寺廟。那個真的大佛比我想像的大佛更大，我們可以進去大佛！在山上我們看得到全部的彰化市，棒棒噠！一定是一個很值得旅遊！
